Hi! I’m Rania, a 33-year-old self-taught crafter, wife and stay-at-home mom. I’ve always loved working with my hands, whether it is cooking, knitting, beading, painting, sewing or playing with Playdoh with my two boys.
So why cards you ask? When you pick up your mail every day. What do you see…bills…junk mail…more bills… Remember the last time you got a handwritten envelope? Was it the first thing you opened? How did it make you feel? That’s the feeling I’m trying to ignite in everyone!
And voila! Handmade by Rania was born on May 12th, 2006 when I decided on a whim to register for a table at the Chatham Fishawack Street Fair. This only gave me four weeks to prepare but was the result of many compliments and a few offers to buy my cards. I had a great time making and selling my creations for the fair, but the question of the day was, “Do you have a website?” So here we are!
Born and raised in New Jersey, my family and I now make our home in Chatham, New Jersey. After earning a Bachelor’s degree in Math, an MBA in Accounting and working several years in the corporate world, I started my second career as a stay-at-home mom. However, I still needed a creative outlet. About a year ago, I started scrapbooking and quickly discovered card making. And I LOVE it!
